General Information
SunSmart Ironman Western Australia 2011 will start at the Busselton jetty on Sunday, December 4, at 5.30am. Professionals will enter the water first followed by age groupers and relay entrants from 5.45am. Race leaders will exit the water from 6.15am and proceed to the Signal Park transition area.

The finish chute will be located in Queen Street, Busselton, with the first athletes expected to cross the line at about 1.30pm. The official race finish time is 10.45pm.

Media kits, authorisation passes and shirts can be collected from the race media centre on Queen Street, Busselton, from Thursday, December 1until Saturday, December 3.

The race media centre will be available for all authorised media from Thursday, December 1, until Monday, December 5. Wireless internet and refreshments will be provided free of charge and live race feeds including timing device information, video streaming and results will be available. Race organizers and local volunteers will also be in attendance to provide race and location information.

The pre-race press conference will be held at a 8.30 a.m., at The Goose Cafe, Busselton, WA on Friday, Dec. 2.

Subject to athlete’s physical condition they may be available for press interviews at the media tent in the post-race area following their finish.

Terms and Conditions
Access to media vehicles is limited and WTC reserves the right to use its discretion in allocating positions. Date of application receipt may impact vehicle allocation.

Media authorisation wristbands must be worn and visible for the duration of the event for safety and identification purposes.

Media personnel without proper accreditation will not be granted access to the Ironman course or its environs.

WTC cannot guarantee that special requests will be fulfilled.

Television
WTC owns the exclusive worldwide broadcast rights to SunSmart Ironman Western Australia. Worldwide broadcast rights to the event are licensed domestically and internationally by WTC. By applying for and receiving television broadcast credentials, the licensee agrees that all footage of SunSmart Ironman Western Australia 2011 will be utilized solely by the licensee for the purpose of legitimate news/sports broadcasting at or around the time of the event. Further, all licensees shall agree that said footage will not be used for any commercial purpose or in any other medium outlet, other than specified on this application, without the written consent of WTC.

Photography
Authorisation for SunSmart Ironman Western Australia 2011 will be issued for editorial purposes only. All commercial photography for this event is covered by WTC’s registered trademarks. Prior to commercial usage of such photography, written permission from WTC must be given. Adherence to this requirement will protect against liability should such photography be used improperly. Noncompliance with this requirement may prevent the receipt of authorisation at future events, as well as create legal liability for the unauthorized use of Ironman imagery and trademarks.

Online publications
WTC holds the exclusive broadcast rights to the event, including any online transmissions of video or audio from the event. Internet coverage of SunSmart Ironman Western Australia 2011 is limited to text and photos. No final race results should be posted until 12:01 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011. No outlet may mimic the live update reporting style used by WTC on www.ironmanlive.com
